I was living on Kinnell Street, Hamilton when I created these pieces for a planned “Brite Future” exhibition, that due to circumstances around that time, 1990 & 1991, never happened. I had become interested in extending 2-d painting out from the wall even further than just by adding found bits and pieces into the paint on a canvas or board. I had a small kiln in the basement and was able to fire & glaze figures for use in these constructions.
